Bending WordPress to my will (ab)using Query Loop
-
Here is an example, but not as a full site concept. Still doing the intended.
Here is the example of something I forgot I wanted to do in first place 20yrs ago.
And that is making a dynamic website in appearance. Like here below.
What is it? I can publish an image post, that will update and act as website background.
It is a concept of nested Query Loop blocks, where the parent is used as background image and nested, child Query loop block is the content.
And what I need to do is test the concept in a template so it loads the website content in same manner.
In fact I just created (copy paste) a custom template. I’m about to apply it to this post.
Ok, I’ve just did a test. And I forgot to put the “Content” template element block.
To get it working more efficiently there is a little bit of “WP programming” required to properly reference each (parent, child) query loop ID so the content appears and the whole site navigation like expected “conservatively”.
Ok, this just blew my mind. And I’m just getting started with it!
