Day 1 learning development in Godot Engine

Main point here is that I got a 3D driving demo game published to my website in less than 1 hour.

From “Godot Engine” IDE and complete demo game project download, testing locally the export as a “browser game” and uploading it to the server as a playable game.

You can check the game and play it now in your browser on the web page linked on the bottom of this article.

Summary of this episode:

  • “Godot Engine” website overview,
  • download of the development environment editor and export template (support for browser games and other supported platforms),
  • first run of development editor user interface,
  • demo project test run,
  • setting the export settings for the “Web” production target platform,
  • web publish (upload to server & embedding in the web page) the demo game “Truck Town” to this web site.
